About Chris

Chris Neill is a professional photographer based in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire.

Chris grew up in a small farming village in Kent, but at the age of 16 decided to join the army to see the world. He joined the Corps of Royal Engineers (later transferring to The Royal Logistic Corps) and served a full career of 23 years leaving as a Warrant Officer Class 1 (Regimental Sergeant Major). In 1998 he was awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in recognition of his achievements and for assisting the HRH Prince of Wales Office following the death of HRH Diana Princesses of Wales.

During his time in the military, Chris’s hobby was photography and his travels enabled him to take pictures wherever he served.

On retirement from the military, Chris undertook employment in logistics first as a General Manager and later as a Company Director. Chris’s love of photography continued and he took his camera with him wherever he travelled.

Chris took redundancy in 2008 to become a full time professional photographer.
